Yes, I'm sure our governor's decisions are purely based on science and not spitefulness ... LOL

Owosso barber

Re: Owosso barber
I don’t think so. The protests have pushed this case below the fold / there aren’t enough reporters left these days.
Re: Owosso barber
Actually there is some truth to this.
If you look at the appeals and counter appeals, he is the one that initiated the "push come to shove" that forced the appeal court's hand. The last appeal filed was his. And he filed it before the court ruled on the state's appeal.
He basically expected the court to rule for the state, and jumped the gun.
The way I read it, he would of been able to stay open until the hearing if he hadn't of done that.

The State Supreme Court has ruled 7-0 in favor of our humble barber.Mike Oxlong wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 5:03 pmActually there is some truth to this.

7-0? Whoa.
So technically then, salons and barbershops across the state could open immediately with no fear of being shut down as long as they follow safety protocols.

I haven’t seen a write-up but at the very least Nessel can’t unilaterally suspend licenses...Howard Jones wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 8:44 pm7-0? Whoa.

The Appeals Court ignored the law. The injunction required all three judges to agree, so it was an easy 7-0 decision.Howard Jones wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 8:44 pm7-0? Whoa.

The other two judges are hacks, because the third judge complained bitterly they were not following the law.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
Re: Owosso barber
Damn! That was a SCATHING rebuke of the Appeals' Court. Glad to see rule of law ultimately prevail.
And after the case gets remanded, I hope the barber's attorney rubs this one in those judges' faces.

The governor should pay the barber's legal fees as well. I knew he would win take a victory lap Karl and rub it in the governor's face .

I may have hedged a bet he might have won by a hair, but this was a full butch by the barber's legal team.Bryce wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 9:25 amWasn't even a close shave!audiophile wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 10:01 pmThe Appeals Court ignored the law.
