The doesn’t work very well if you give it 5 seconds of thought meme that Bryce posted aside... shutdowns in hindsight failed miserably. The only way that they could work is if everyone stayed home 100% of the time long enough to stop EVERY infection dead in it’s tracks so nobody was contagious. Probably a month of no contact with the outside world for the entire populace. Could it be done? Sure. Is it born of reality? Not even close.
