That doesn’t pass the smell test. They are on record in court under oath saying Trumps words and actions had everything to do with it.

A few got through outer barriers at 1pm, trump ended his speech shortly there after. Almost 30 minutes later the started breaching the police line.

The timeline is the following:

1. Trump began talking at 12:00
2. At 12:54 people started crossing the barricades.
3. At 1:10 Trump wrapped his speech.

So there was SIXTEEN MINUTES between when it started and when he finished.

The distance between where Trump was speaking and the breech is about two miles.

Assuming that these people who crossed the barricades were watching Trump at the ellipse and considering the average person will walk at 15 minutes per mile, the EARLIEST they would have to have left the ellipse was 12:24. Considering these people did not just appear at 12:24, the timelines don't really support your position.

Also consider, there were agitating groups (e.g., Proud Boys) gathering around the capitol an hour before Trump was talking at 11:00.

And don't forget that Ray Epps guy. Who was ON VIDEO the night before and the morning of, telling people "we're going to go INTO THE CAPITOL". Yet he didn't get ONE charge levied against him and was never even arrested.

You can believe that BS if you want, but the reality is they did NOT arrest him and they didn't really levy charges, but settled on a charge AFTER THREE YEARS, even though he was CLEARLY identified on DAY ONE. (from the article: "Epps and the Justice Department reached a deal where he pled guilty to one misdemeanor count")

They had to use all kinds of investigatory techniques to track other people down, and they prosecuted them within a year or two. Epps was ON VIDEO and identified IMMEDIATELY but yet it took them FOUR YEARS to come up with a charge and "convict" him??

No use arguing with him. He's just an angry, lost kid. His next response will probably be to accuse you of being someone else who explained to him how he was being ignorant.

At the end of the day, they are trying to pin a tail on Trump because they have been conditioned to hate him. I didn't agree with all his policies. I thought the way he handled COVID and put people out of work and in masks was silly. But these people have been conditioned to seethe about him. It's really remarkable.
