Imagine trying to start a union today

Post by Reagan4prez » Tue Jan 04, 2022 6:01 pm

Most people who belong to a union never voted for one. They inherited this gift-that-keeps-on-taking with their employment. But imagine marketing a union today.

Union rep: “Hey, you look stupid, want to join a union?”

Worker: “Why would I want to do that?”

Union rep: “Because you should pay someone else to work here.”

Worker: “Pay someone else to work here? Why would I do that? I work here TO get paid.”

Union rep: “Well, no one should negotiate their own compensation.”

Worker: “Nearly 9 out of 10 people in this country do exactly that.”

Union rep: “Well, they should not.”

Worker: “Why?”

Union rep: “So people like me can make money for doing essentially nothing.”

Worker: “That makes no sense at all.”

Union rep: “Exactly! Ready to join?”

Worker: “Heck, no.”

Union rep: “Then you’re a scab and your boss’ boot-licker.”

Worker: “Why are you calling me names?”

Union rep: “Because you didn’t join the union and the only way I know how to react to someone who disagrees with me is to be immature, ignorant, condescending, and a bully that uses force and intimidation to get what I want.”

Worker: “Are all of you like this?”

Union rep: “Not any more. Most of us are in prison.”

Oh look… a passive aggressive attempt to troll another member of the board.
I didn’t see your post as such.

The rumors are 100% true. 💯 Your attempts at redirection grow weaker every time you come back here. This happens when people are on to you.
“Redirection”?

You haven’t even posted about unions here.

Unions generally suck, especially teacher's unions.
Chicago Teachers Union crushed for refusing to resume in-person learning: 'They should all be fired
The Chicago Teachers Union, the third-largest school district in the nation, defied the city's order for school children to return to in-person learning this week, earning them a new round of bipartisan scorn from those who argue remote learning has done far more harm than good throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
No one should be in person at these levels of COVID. My cousin who had cancer is literally risking her life every time she teaches. Vaccines don’t work as well for the immunocompromised. Body responses are less likely to develop.
Funny how those who shout the multiple vaccines’ “effectiveness” are the same folks that want to shut down public life despite the multiple vaccines’ “effectiveness.”

The vaccines prevent most hospitalizations and prevent deaths in 99% of those who are vaccinated. Sit down, bastard.
The Covid-19 vaccine received emergency authorization use in December of 2020.

In July of 2020, five months prior to any vaccine, there was a 99.6+ survival rate.

Regardless of vaccination status, you can get it, you can get sick, you can spread it, and you can die from it. As an extra bonus, you might get blood clots from the vaccine.

I’m unvaccinated and have never gotten COVID-19. I’m tested weekly.
