I keep my opinions to myself regarding this issue, but allow me to state something factual that is also interesting.

I'd like to see the national numbers, but this really stuck out to me.

For all the lobbying that went into same sex marriage, less than 1% of marriages in Michigan are same-sex. Does this speak to the lifestyle where same-sex couples simply are less likely (or, as the facts state, extremely rare) to get married? Where are all the same-sex couples that were lobbying for the ability to be legally married? If they had gotten married, I question their motives. I don't believe it was ever about simply legalizing same-sex marriage.

If they had all gotten married, it would result in much more than less than 1% of the population of married couples.

These are the facts. Do whatever you want with them, but they do not change based on your opinion.

I don't believe it was ever about simply legalizing same-sex marriage.

I've heard comments (from radio host Dennis Prager) that it was also about there being no difference between male and female, which is certainly a hot topic today.

Sure is.

How many genders are we up to now? I lost count after the biological two. Asking for a scientist.

It would be great to celebrate people for being, you know, people.

Why celebrate anyone based on where they like to put their junk or allow others to put in their junk?

Why not simply celebrate people rather than women who like to eat carpet (L)?

Why not simply celebrate people rather than men who like to sword fight (G)?

Why not simply celebrate people rather than people who aren't picky sexually (B)?

Why not simply celebrate people rather than those who are confused sexually (T)?

Why not simply celebrate people rather than point out who is freaky (+)?
