Are you serious?
Here's a recent Facebook headline from Bill Harris' part-time lover:
"Amazing.. A stranger did something with their stimulus check that may put tears in your eyes."
First, that sentence is a syntax (look it up) and grammatical nightmare, but it's illogical too.
Tears are already in your eyes. Nothing "put tears in your eyes."

Critiquing bad writing is my hobby.
Producers, executive producers, and managing editors used to do it.
I hold “journalists” to a higher writing standard than non-journalists.
Journalists are supposed to be specialized in writing well, and when they suck at it, I point it out.
Imagine anyone else saying they are a specialist and a professional at something and then sucking at it.
