Fox2 Health Works this morning

Post by Round Six » Tue Jan 09, 2024 11:46 am

So in this mornings segment of Health Works was two stories. The first was about microplastics in three popular water brands. The researchers didn't want to say which brands, but tens of thousands of particles were found in each bottle they tested.

The second story was about letting toddlers watch TV.

After the segment was over, the reporter went to the anchor desk and kibitzed about using refillable water mugs instead.

I immediately wanted to know something. Forgo the story about toddlers, and tell us how many particles are in drinking water. If she's telling us to drink tap water instead, am I wrong thinking she should be following up the water bottle research with the same research done on tap water in the same segment?

Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. There's no going back, and we can only go forward before we run out of runway.

You're spot on, Roundy. That's shabby reporting.
