That's too funny; talk about throwing money down the toilet!

910 AM in that part of the state is a Soft Rock Oldies station from Cassopolis (WGTO).
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

I would bet good money that some well meaning Gen-Z employee of Lamar or Outfront took the order, and just booked any empty boards they had in "southern lower Michigan" :rollin

Barclay has been giving the phone number more often. I still haven't heard a single caller.

Going out on a limb:

I surmise 910 is trying to get conservative listeners from outside the physical limits of their analog service area. Younger demos are more likely to check it out online than over the air. Never thought I’d see billboards put up for 910.

If the billboard mentions the website and stream, it’s very small. If it’s like the others, 910AM is in large print. Going west on 94 around Paw Paw, it makes no sense with WGTO within at least fringe range.

So here's my question:
If you couldn't see the fine print, how were you able to ascertain it wasn't a billboard for WGTO, 20 miles away in Cassopolis?

Not trying to be snarky. Just my first thought.

Isn't it possible that WGTO, calls itself "910am SUPERSTATION"?

They don't care about a Detroit station and people in that area might listen to the local 910am, thinking the billboard is advertising for them.
Frontier Airlines SUCKS! They're a bunch of thieves. Don't fly with them!

Seems no one that has seen the billboard by Paw Paw has indicated it says Superstation anywhere on it.

I saw the billboard courtesy of running out to Chicago this week... it's just like all the others. They all look the same with the 910AM Superstation as part of the logo. The only things that change are which hosts are being promoted.

The Cassopolis station does not call itself that.

This fact is easily verifiable:

I do agree that the Cassopolis station may unintentionally benefit from the misplaced billboards. Conversely, it could also create local listener confusion - e.g. "why are you switching formats?!!"
