Wonder if they'll dump the flavorless WDVD call sign on 96.3 and keep the much more historical WDRQ sign on the dial.

Oh, and get off my lawn.
While I love the WDRQ calls and agree the WDVD calls suck, that would confuse the audience.
They honestly don't care about call letters.

Noticed they shut off the RDS. Thinking it will happen overnight tonight. Not that I was a H*** listener of the station but I would rather have new country then another Jesus station. Look for someone to go country soon. Maybe 105.1? Wouldn't be a bad idea. They could move The Bounce to the Detroit praise Network signals. Just a though.

The Bounce is regularly top 5 25/54, it ain't bouncing nowhere.

If anybody does, which would basically be just to flank WYCD, I'd bet on Fake Wheels. But don't listen for that tomorrow or anytime soon.

There's alway Pure Country 88 or where TF they call it :lol

I agree that Fake Wheels is the only station that would possibly flip to country.

93.1 is also broadcasting in monaural right now, which is strange.

I won't miss P-U Country at all.

I swung by 93.1 this afternoon and noticed they were simply ID'ing as "New Country Detroit", which, to be honest, I don't know if they had been, or if they recently took the frequency out of the positioner.

Good God (no pun intended) the dial fucking SUCKS around here.

Wow. I had no idea two new country songs sounded different.

Sounds kinda creepy.

Why would they care? The station changes hands tomorrow, and all paid local advertising is gone.

If what one of the posters over on Radio Discussions said is true, the switchover on 93-1 might happen at Midnight.

Nobody listens now so it won't be much of a change.

Sucks to see WDRQ go. DRQ was a great top 40 station for a long time. Oh, well. Definitely not enough religious programming available on the radio, so this will be a nice change of pace.

As much as I wish the Detroit dial wasn’t loaded with religious garbage or cookie-cutter formats, it seems that the only people who will pony up the cash for terrestrial radio facilities are religious broadcasters. If you ask me, it’s getting to be overkill.

Where I’m at now in Oregon, there are at least SIX different frequencies airing some sort of religious-based programming. Mostly K-Love and Air1. I’ve had the “pleasure” of listening to them; I think I’d rather watch paint dry. Absolutely boring programming. But out here, they eat that shit up. It’s mind boggling.

The audio sounds good; I'll give them that.

One fewer station playing Morgan Wallen, Dan + Shay and similar garbage is a good thing, in my opinion.
