Don't really watch much local news coverage anymore, but when I watched the fireworks on WDIV they had him on set to do their big welcome thing and honestly, I was impressed. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, and wren I heard WFAA I thought, "oh, he'll be good." Then again, it's possible he has no charisma. Maybe he'd be a good anchor.
