As an Indycar fan, I always preferred the race at MIS over the Grand Prix. MIS races were always thrilling and exciting. I think they'll race in the city as long as Chevy remains a manufacturer as it's in the path of the RenCen.

Trouble at Back to the Bricks? Old cars with even older drivers causing trouble? Were they driving around with thier left turn signal on? Falling asleep at stop lights?

It was the "locals" who flock to Back To The Bricks who have no interest in the cars. They used it as a place to hang out and cause trouble.

Worth noting, F1 and Clark County, NV are in a infrastructure improvement partnership for the Las Vegas Grand Prix that will be held in November. Somewhere around $80M will be spent in repaving the track, construction a permanent paddock area and other improvements.

The event is expected to draw at least 100,000 visitors each day and have an economic impact of $1.3B. If you're looking for fast go-karts, speeds on the "Strip" sector of the course are expected to be greater than 212 mph. Having attended a couple of F1 races myself I have no problem stating that in terms of motorsports there is nothing else on the planet that is remotely close to F1 racing. Period.

BTW - The graphics package developed by F1 is spectacular. Make the NBC Indycar stuff look like the old cafeteria-type menuboards broadcasters used before the Chyron was invented. Really pathetic.

Maybe it should've been a race for Geo Metros, Japanese Kei trucks and Yugo's.

There was also zero fights. More fights need to happen on the grand prix circuit.
