Wow! I thought this was going to be all about Cobra CB radios and scanners... but it's EVEN BETTER!
Greg St. James. I remember listening to him on WABX when it was sold to Liggett, but before it became "New Music ABX". He threw the playlist out the window and was playing whatever he felt like playing for the last week or so. Then, I believe Paul Christy (sp?) came in and orchestrated the end of WABX. (A moment of silence.)

Too bad John O'Leary couldn't join him.

I'm pretty sure Greg St. James was involved in the original formation of 88.7 aka 89X back in the early 90's!

Thanks for posting!

Greg St. James spearheaded "The Cutting Edge of Rock", which was originally on in the evenings while "The Mix" was aired the rest of the day. Eventually "The Mix" went away and "The Cutting Edge" took over.

Are you kidding? Gnyp is on there? The music he played from 2006-2010 on 93.9 was the best I've heard on terrestrial radio.

With Gnyp on there, Radio Cobra needs to bring back the Time Warp on Saturday nights, which he hosted on 93.9 the River until they flipped to Virgin Radio.

They should flip 93.1 for this. Or how about Canada flipping 93.9 back? Who the hell listens to that current garbage?

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Hi there BJ! We just got Alexa enabled a few weeks ago. Apple and Android apps coming in the next couple of weeks.

To open the station, tell Alexa to “Start Radio Cobra” or “Open Radio Cobra”.

Also, come take a look at our website which has a pop-out player and will take you to our social media pages as well as list our program schedule and jock bios.

Thanks for listening, and “Welcome to the Summer of the snake, Muchachos!”
