AM 1030 WUFL

Post by Steve79 » Mon Jan 16, 2023 3:52 pm

Looks like the end has come to recently sold WUFL as AM 1030 is silent and the translators are all off the air.

Fill me in again, what's going on with the station? It was sold?

It's nice to know WQUS 103.1 and CKSY 94.3 will have their original service areas restored - at least for a brief time - while WUFL and its translators are off the air.

I enjoyed the ride home from work yesterday. Got to listen to CKSY with NO interference.

Maybe it will again be possible to copy WBZ on 1030 before local sunset.

Thank you!
My pleasure.

I wonder what call letters 1030am is going to get? " No one cares about all letters" blah blah". Seriously stop typing. :P

Sounds like the AM and translator on 94.3 has returned to air.

I mean...in a non-diary market they don't as much. 105.1 the Bounce has been WMGC since 2001. PPM has killed a lot of call letter calling.

Now, that's funny! W-KEG for a Christian station.

That would be a good call sign for a classic rock, classic country or rock station!

94.3 and 1030 are still broadcasting FLR programming; the changeover to Relevant Radio has not yet occurred.

How is WKEG still available?

Detroit's new home for classic rock 1030 and 94.3 THE KEGGER! All request liquid lunch hour 12-1 on the kegger!

" Hello The Kegger, who am I talking to?" " This is Jimmy in Southgate, can you play me some Bad Company Runnin with the pack?" " Yeah we can do that!"

" No repeat work day! getting you through your day and the all request liquid lunch hour, The Kegger!

OR

Well.. pardners! another block of the legends of country music, 1030am and 94.3fm The Keg.

Stay around for Great Country but go easy on the moonshine! 1030 and 94.3 The Keg :lol

" wrapping up a long set of classic country, that was Were gonna hire a wino to decorate our home by Dave Frizzel, before that Mel McDaniel Baby's got her blue jeans on. Then we heard Mel Tillis Coca Cola Cowboy and then back to 1991 Trisha Yearwood Shes in love with the boy. "

" The Keg! who I am talking to?" " This is Clint from Flat Rock, can you play me a song? " sure.... " " I wanna hear Juke Box Junkie can't recall the artist" " That'd be Ken Mellons, 1994 hit for him, thanks for listening to the keg" .

All those Frat Boys who held keggers are listening to Yacht Rock now. They eschew beer now. That's for peasants. Only Wine and Champagne for the Yacht Boys.
