I wish him the very best in retirement!

A big loss for WDIV, for sure.

Congrats to Paul! He will certainly be missed. He's first class and was my favorite weather caster. Paul knew his stuff!

This would now explain why wdiv hired a bunch of weather personal since so many folks were dumbfounded on the hirings.

I actually liked him. Major loss indeed.

DIV seems to be losing a lot of good people.

I liked him, although about 20 years ago, he was so nervous, I felt like I was watching a high wire act every time he was on the air. Was he making a transition to on-air work then? I'm glad he got control of that.

I remember when someone on the news desk said, "That's gross" about something weather-related, and Paul said, "No, I'm Gross, that's (something else)."

I like his on-air delivery. I cannot speak to the early days, of course. That's a good anecdote, btw.

That’s too bad. I liked him a lot. An intelligent meteorologist and a talent. I wish him well!

Congrats Paul on retirement and well deserved.

Always enioyed his wx casts and humour.

I think Paul is the last one who worked at DIV when Mal Sillars was still there doing weather.

Paul is an absolute gem! Best meteorologist that I have ever worked with. Pretty good golfer and 3rd baseman too!

I thought Paul had retired already. I saw a report on ClickOnDetroit from him today. As per his usual hype, he’s calling for two snowstorms next week, including one Sunday that will get us about 1 inch of snow.
