I noticed Jason Colthorp has been coanchoring this week with Rhonda. Is this a trial? They don’t have much chemistry imo but I think Jason and Sandra Ali would make a great morning team. Christy McDonald could take over the 5:30 with Karen. I’m not sure I could see DIV moving Rhonda off the morning show as she has kind of been an institution there for a number of years. That said, I believe there was a short time she anchored early evenings.

WDIV will be debuting its new "Get up and Go" morning show this week.
The promo I saw has Jason Colthorp anchoring with Rhonda Walker.
Ashlee Baracy will be doing weather. Nick Monacelli remains as the primary morning reporter.
They also hired Darnell Blackburn as the new crime & traffic reporter, and he'll work with Kim DeGiulio. Blackburn is coming to television from a career in law enforcement.

This morning Jason was talking about the Lotto and said something like "the MegaMillions is up to one point oh five BILLION dollars. Yes, folks, that one BILLION and five MILLION dollars!" Rhonda said that plenty of folks would be happy with just the five million.

Jason has been co-anchoring with Rhonda ever since Evrod left. This is nothing new.
What is new is the fact someone new has recently been seen in one of the anchor chairs at 5PM. I do not know the gentleman's name yet.
