Arguably, she should be prosecuted for child endangerment. In fact, I think she should.
AGREE 100%. She had an ACTIVE role in having the perp in the house and exposing those children to him. AND SHE KNEW he could be a threat!

They're prosecuting the school resource officer in Florida for child neglect in his role at Parkland, because he didn't sacrifice himself in a (vain?) attempt at trying to rescue them or get the perpetrator before the perp killed more people. Guertin not only "didn't" do something, she INVITED THE PERP into the house where the kids were staying.

Sorry, they put you through that. Sounds like a big mess.
It was. And there's a back story that starts in the early 80s. I still owe Bryce a disc of David Newman interviewing my dad about the whole hullabaloo back then.

Didn’t the Parkland guy flee the scene?

The perp or the resource officer?

The perp did leave, along with other students.

The resource officer did not flee, but he did not immediately enter the building and try to find the shooter. The department policy at the time was that you MAY enter if you are first on scene, but it was not required. His position, IIRC, was that he could not determine if the shots were coming from inside the building or outside (like a sniper) and was waiting for additional backup to arrive.

Btw, that was the same policy at many departments across the country, but they were quickly rewritten after Parkland.
