No WJR-FM anytime soon. New morning show with “Goose” Seller and Renee Vitale starts Wednesday morning.

Unless he doesn't want to go back to radio why not bring in Chuck Edwards? Chuck would be the perfect choice for 93.1 and has 25 years here in the Detroit market. If not Chuck, why not the Breakfast With Bubba crew or just Bubba coming over from W4 in Ann Arbor?

Chuck sounds too old for the type of listener 93.1 wishes to attract.

I listened to Goose years ago when he was up north, and I thought he was a good on air personality way back then.

He should be a nice addition to their lineup.

How many coats of paint are they gonna put on this turd? I don't even listen to WJR but would rather them move to 93.1!

I have zero use for WJR, and a move to FM would not change that for me. A combination of boring radio for old people mixed with arrogant Mitch mixed with right wing hysteria. No thanks.

You forgot all of the pay to play programming. Medical shows. Financial shows. The Slime Brothers, from Flint (don't tell anyone!) who actually live in Birmingham... :rollin

Both you and I know, Cumulus isn't moving WJR to FM any more than they are moving WLS to FM.

As for old people, I wonder if they are listening to Tom Jordan and Kevin Dietz? I have serious doubts.

I give the latest morning show 6 months to a year. Someone in management will come unglued over some minor incident, the PD will disappear without explanation, orders will come down from corporate, we've seen it all before.

Lame as balls. There has to be a better format out there. Just has to be.

WLS-FM does well so a simulcast of WLS-AM would be dumb.
WDRQ is roadkill.
We shall see.

I might be in the minority, but I think the new show on 93.1 sounds decent for its first week.

I'm also noticing an expanded playlist, something that should've occurred sooner.

What's different about it?
