...for finally ditching the pukey male V/O artist installed by the prior PD for one that actually sounds pretty good!

Could not stand the abrasive sounding "NEEEEEWWWW Country...NINETY THREE ONE" reads from the prior guy's obnoxiously synthesized, gruff voice.

Oh, they're still doing the country thing? That's nice. What's for dinner?

I'm betting that the WDRQ imaging is all prefab. That's the way "Cume You Lost" runs. Then ad horrid TM jingles on top. YUCK! Being LGBTQ2+, I wouldn't EVER tune into a country station, as they tell everyone LGBTQ to not come out, or lose the whole right side of the aisle, which is the flag waving and biblical fanbase.

MANY MANY country artists are LGBTQS2+. However, due to the mentality of some stars, management, venues and even media... we can't know publically who they are. What a f'ing shame!

93.1 dumped all jingles (which I thought sounded damn good actually) when it ditched all "Nash" branding.

Well, it doesn't look like WDRQ will become WJR-FM anytime soon. But WJR still has OK ratings, and a solid signal throughout the market, unlike WLS, whose latest 6+ was 1.0, and has a weak signal in the Northern parts of Metropolitan Chicago, and has since the 1930s, when it moved from Downers Grove. But the noise level was much less then, until noninductive voltage transformers took over because they weren't heavy, and were cheaper, and on numerous devices in the home.

WJR's audio sounds like crap on my main receiver. The peaks are greatly distorted, and a microprocessor (perhaps from my smart TV or cable box) creates a minor chirping noise in the background.

WWJ, when IBOC is off, sounds far cleaner.

Many AM signals could be optimized for listening preference on a receiver with variable bandwidth. WWJ always sounds too compressed for me. WJR must sill have the equipment they had when they were AM Stereo. Maybe they could put that back on. I still listen to both, at Night, depending on what I want to hear. Can't really hear them much in the Daytime because of the noise level, otherwise, I could hear them both in the Daytime with a loop or vertical wire, with a tuned preamp 200+ miles away.

That's already a good part of the We Make U ZZZZZZZ (103.5 FM - Detroit Made, Q-Anon Strong) weekend lineup.

Very interesting comment. Would that include the possibility of spinning off 760 to another owner?

And what the hell are they going to do with all that unused space on the 7th floor?

No.

As for the 7th floor, I'd think the building will re-lease it at some point.

It was my understanding they were vacating the 8th floor, and moving everything to the 7th, but I could be wrong...

When I worked there, the 8th floor had a lot of wasted space, particularly the cavernous "cubicle city" style sales area, which was mostly empty. Anywhere you had to go up there was a very long walk.

Jingles aren't the only thing within station imaging. For example, ALL national contests are 100% prefab promos and imaging. All format stations with the contest have calls and monikers to RIP from the prefab. Local is just like that, just a different provider.

Cume You Lost has no innovation/creativity.
