101 WRIF

Amy Brooks should handle the weekday middays shift on a permanent basis!

FAR SUPERIOR broadcaster to zero personality, lame content purveyor Jade.

Paul Woods reminds me a bit of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets when he speaks!

Is that the same Amy Brooks that was on WIOT for years? If it is, this has to be an upgrade for her.

Yes, it is. She is only filling in for middays this week, I believe.

She normally does a Saturday air shift on the station, usually evenings.

She was one of the many casualties of the IHeart layoffs of January 2020. I was hoping at the time she'd move to 94.5 and be reunited with Pyke and Grizzley, but It's nice to see her back on her feet on WRIF.

Or maybe it's Amie. Women change the spelling of their given names and nicknames about as often as they change schools. Cathi Cathy, Kathy Kat Kate, Gail Gale, and those are just a few I know of over the years.

Reading this post about a former favorite radio station of mine, the names mentioned here I have no clue who they are. I stopped listening to WRIF when they blew out Drew & Mike, for Dave & Chuck the F*ck (didn't like them at 89X so not gonna listen to them at WRIF). WRIF hasn't been on any of my pre-sets since 2016/17, and besides today's rock is just absolute garbage. Yea I'm old and get off my lawn...

Lived in the Detroit area from 91-93. At the time, it was Z-Rock 102.7 (which was my absolutely favorite station), 98.7 WLLZ, WCSX and WRIF. Out of all those stations, RIFF was my least favorite then. They’ve improved somewhat but….
