DEEtroit Lions

Post by km1125 » Mon Dec 06, 2021 8:53 am

Anyone notice the Lions commercials where that they say DEEtroit Lions instead of deTROIT Lions?

Noticed Nate Burleson also says it like that on the national CBS program.

Can someone aks them why they do that?

This is not like the announcements that John Mason used to make at the Palace, which were pretty good for a theatrical entrance.

I myself tend to say "I'm from DEEtroit" when elsewhere and introducing myself, or asked where I'm from. It's not really on purpose, more just habit.

Is it loo-ee-zee-ANN-uh or loo-zee-ANN-uh?

BTW, I say de-TROIT.
