That's two Detroit radio legends in less than one week. How sad, R.I.P Rosalie.

WDET's Culture Shift just played Bob Seeger's Rosalie, (but they cut it off in order to talk; I kind of wanted to hear the whole song. Has anyone heard it today on WCSX or any other place, (even the Thin Lizzy version which was the last song Phil Lynott played with the band, Nuremburg Germany September 1983.)

Yes, heard that. Thought it would get mentioned in Culture Shift.
"Rosalie" was also covered by Sheepdogs. https://youtu.be/A63eF8eosd8

Motorhead also did aversion to that song. It sounds exactly how you think it sounds.

'CSX playing that deep a cut by Segar, "Rosalie"? No chance at that, they're too busy playing Bon Jovi and Huey Lewis & The News...

That is weird . WCSX never missed an excuse to play a Seger song.

Maybe it'll be played during the next "24 hours of Seger" or "Seger Saturday".

I get chills every time I watch this. She was one of a kind and part of a magical time in radio. More than a legend. No one will ever have that kind national impact from the local level again.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

VERY well said.

That time was indeed magical, and it will never come again.

Nice to see Byron at the end of the video....he was my friend, and I miss him.

Bob Seger's first Christmas song, "Sock It To Me Santa". That track was not heard on CKLW, only WTAC, according to ARSA, in 1966.

Bob Seger was a big James Brown fan, obvious from this record, but the only stations that played much James Brown were not received well in Ann Arbor. So he listened to John R (Richbourg) at Night on WLAC in Nashville, like many R & B fans and recording artists from outside major cities.
