Its sandra ali.

No other station in town is gonna touch JC.
It does seem like that ship has sailed. Can Carr actually make a living with a Facebook "show"? I suppose if enough sponsors get on board it could work but I cant see any businesses shelling out cash to reach 10's of watchers.

62's newsroom looks so stupid on-air when the wide angle camera shot is used. Idiotic dimensions.

Continuing the 62 comedy of errors, the 5a local news hour that was supposed to start today was nowhere to be found. The national CBS Morning News aired instead.

Sandra Ali did debut this morning as expected.

Probably done watching 62 for the week other than maybe their 5p show.

Yeah I caught that too.
The Xfinity guide said it was local news from 5-7. So I clicked over about 5:30 'cuz my normal station had someone I don't care for doing the weather. Like you said it was national although she was kinda cute.

Sandra Ali did debut this morning as expected.
She never did announce it on her Instagram. A couple days ago her answer was still "stay tuned" when someone asked her what was next. Maybe she just wanted to surprise those that didn't know.

Legal stuff. The answer as to why nothing could be announced ahead of time.

They finally switched to chroma key for weathercast presentation purposes. Looks better, although the very bright extended forecast graphic still looks crappy. They ought to swap out the bright blue on the bars for darker blue, and the animated sky condition or precip icons need to have much better sharpness.

On a couple newscasts I've seen recently, they are now doing their own version of a zone forecast. That's fine, except a few of the towns are literally typed on top of another another. That map looks sloppy; they should've cleaned it up before putting it on-air.

It isn't a green screen. They tightened up the camera shot on the monitor. Once in a while you can see a sliver of the monitor edge, and they also are interacting with the screen with touch.

It's good that they tightened up the camera shot; definitely looks better than before.

CBS News Detroit at 6PM sure looks eerily similar to Family Feud!

There seems to be a disconnect between program guide data vs. the programming the station is actually airing.

That'd give me a reason to tune in... Steve Harvey doing the local news here!!

I'm not sure how much "news" you get, but it probably would be pretty entertaining!

Maybe Harvey could ask Out on the Boulevard questions like Leno's Jaywalking or Kimmel's Lie Witness News.

Today, we learned 62 is completely useless during weekend morning severe weather events.

Another bang-up job by 62 in covering breaking news as it happens!

On my block, around the clock? They're full of shit.

There is NO excuse for not having severe weather coverage, warnings, cut-ins, crawls, maps, etc. Total embarrassment for a channel that claims they are around the clock.

For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

Automated warnings were on all of their digital pages and came through the CBS Detroit news and weather apps. I assume that since now weekend shows exist yet that no staff was present. There wasn't much of a risk to staff the station in the morning as I recall.
