We aren't talking about a legal sentence and due process isn't the issue. The problem is a PR one. It's not a good look to still have a shrine to Bo.Plate Cap wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 9:32 amImmediately upon accusation, rather than as the result of an investigation?MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 4:53 pm
Bo's name should be removed from all athletic facilities immediately and the statue needs to come down.
Methinks, Mark, you would not wish to have sentence executed upon you without due process.

Well stated, Steve B.
I believe the accusers. The preponderance of evidence weighs in favor of the accusers. I doubt grown men who are largely in their 50s and 60s and appear to have led successful lives professionally would lie about something like this.
The statue needs to come down immediately. Look, if he is somehow exonerated (extremely unlikely), then the statue can be returned.
In general, perhaps we should stop deifying celebrities, athletes and coaches.

I recall once reading that in the early days of professional baseball that society considered the players to be of questionable reputation. Perhaps they were on to something.Rate This wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 11:29 pmSeconded.
