After a review of vital records (Covid)

Post by jsf » Wed May 12, 2021 3:43 pm

I don't understand why for almost a year our crack medical staff doesn't know what people die from. The numbers seem to always be lower and then the famous "review of vital records" show up. I think by now doctors would know what a person dies from and not have to wait weeks to find out. The virus has killed lots of people so counting them shouldn't be that hard to figure.

Sometimes there’s an autopsy… there could be any number of reasons for a vital records review after the fact. Expecting perfection I suggest you try another species or planet… your choice.

Initially it might seem obvious that somebody died from a car accident or getting hit by a bus, but a later autopsy might show they had COVID at the time. :)

This thread has nothing to do with Detroit radio or TV. I suggest the moderator move this to the "Everything Else" section.

What moderator? Where do you think you are? We don’t have that sort of thing here.

Isn't there some sort of government payment hospitals can receive for each Covid-19 case they deal with? If so, it seems it would make sense to comb thru past records and see how many people had the virus, even though the virus is not what they succumbed to.

Just like what km1125 said in an earlier post to this thread.

That conspiracy theory has been debunked multiple times. They do not get paid per Covid patient.

So, if a guy who is severely coughing loses his balance due to COVID and gets hit by a car, do you still mark it car accident?

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

I love this place. I come for the radio talk, but stay for the doctors, the lawyers, the constitutional scholars, the police chiefs, the economists...it's like a one stop shop!

Why bother talking to anyone anywhere else?

It's just like real talk radio - minus the ad reads!

I'm here for a good, hearty debate, to agree and disagree respectfully, and commiserate on the current state of terrestrial radio.

I have dropped my doctor and my lawyer. I consult with the buzzboard and Facebook for all medical and law problems.
