Evidently, Beasley's obligation to carry Urban One's syndicated morning programming has ended (or Beasley has agreed to clear national ads from the Rickey Smiley show despite running programming of its own).
John Mason has returned to morning drive duty at 105.9 Kiss.
Rickey Smiley is gone.
I'm somewhat surprised by this change, as WDMK seemed to be doing fairly well ratings wise. In the recent past, Mason hasn't fared great in mornings.
No word yet as to what will happen with middays.

Good move for Kiss FM. Keep it local, that is important for morning shows in this market. John Mason is a true Detroit talent and should be on mornings. I personally know John and he’s a great guy.
