Uncle Buck was pulling afternoon drive today.

I may not like Dahmer as a DJ but I don't want any bad shit happening to people, either.
Damn, Uncle Buck is still there? I thought he was let go. Used to listen to him when I could still be a night owl lol.

Agreeing with you on Dahmer. Losing a job, especially right now in this economy, is a shitty situation to be in.

take this job and shove it

I'm pretty sure Buck was there within the first couple years of the station's launch.

Most of my fill-in's were for Buck. He's a great person overall and wish he could pull more at the station. When I got fired, he was handling a lot of production work for them. It's that familiarity.

Him and Kostan and even McAllister might be too laid back for afternoons, but I could be wrong.

Good riddance. I removed CSX from my presets when they fired Steve Kostan. Haven't listened since.

As for Dahmer getting fired, sorry, when it comes to this business, you know that's an occupational hazard. I am stunned that he lasted this long. He'll probably end up wherever the "lawn ornament" guy, Jerry Tarrants is now... "town to town, up and down the dial"

Looks like Jim Palucci was wiped off the website, too.

I guess we now know the station that fell victim to the Beasley budget ax locally.

Palucci I like…. That’s a loss as he’s been around Detroit radio since the late 70’s….

Again, yeah not a fan of folks losing jobs…. Regardless of this being “expected” in some circles.

No….. wasn’t a fan of his stupid 18+ stories either…. Most inappropriate for any kids that happened to be listening with me.

Me? Yeah still here….. lol.

Dahmer’s gimme 3@3 game (formerly gimme 5 @ 3) has been an at-home staple for me and my work colleagues since WFH began …. Gave us a side-quest toward the end of the work day :-)

Glad Buck is still doing it.

I really liked listening to Jim Palucci as well. I would've preferred him or McAllister in afternoons over Buck.

Paolucci will turn up somewhere. He was one of the first guys on the short-lived Star 97. He was also on 94.7 way back in the Majic 95 days, when Roberta Jasina was the news director, and Honeyradio AM 56 was right down the hall. :smokin

Nice guy, adaptive to any format.

My guess is Palucci will be either on WOMC or WNIC.

I doubt Jim will end up anywhere considering the state of Detroit radio these days. Audacy and IHeart just did some major cuts in all of their stations across the country. Time for Jim to retire.

We noted in the mid 2000s that Palooch was the only DJ that had been on all 3 stations in the Greater Media Detroit stable. WRIF in the late 70s, Magic 95 in the late 80s and Magic 105.1 in the mid 00s. And then a return to WCSX after 105.1 flipped. Really sweet guy.

I quit listening to CSX when they first brought dahmer on. I emailed them, even filed a complaint with the FCC. CSX got rid of of the talent years ago. Too many other options these days to waste time listing to his mind numbing babble.
What reason would you file an FCC complaint against Dahmer? Did he say something inappropriate that shouldn't be allowed on the air?
He started talking about hamsters in peoples asses. Decency standards....

Sounds like you're talking a crock of shit yourself. At any rate, WCSX is definitely more listenable in the drive time without Dahmer. Now the afternoon numbers will be much better.
