I was poking around twitter/facebook this morning to see if the new storm did any damage to a resort we like, and I saw Shay Ryan's updates on her weather facebook page.
She was the weather girl at 7 for a while after she got promoted out of Saginaw, then moved on to NYC. People really liked her outfits on air and her bubbly personalty.
She ended up down in Florida. Then I saw a link to another page, she calls 'off air'. Turns out she has celiac, the real kind, not the suburban college girl kind.
So her side gig is a cooking person online for how to cook good gluten free meals, and a restaurant locater.
I don't know why I am surprised, but it is really well done. Like corporate/professionally so.

Her husband Glenn Zimmerman runs a video production company. I realized I was a celiac at 48, it sucks.
