WJR hit an ALL-TIME low with a 1.6 share! Time to pull the plug or sell the station. I suggest a "classic hits" format with classic jocks...Brand it either "Kix 76" or "Re-mix 76!"

I never thought I'd see the day when WRCJ would be beating WJR. WWJ took a hit too. Guess the unseasonably warm weather over the holidays meant less reason to tune traffic and weather on the 8's.

WNIC hit a 14.8 with Christmas music. If I'm not mistaken, that may be the highest rating ever recorded on the 100.3 frequency. Breeze also jumped into 4th place, apparently at the expense of their sister station WOMC.

Meanwhile, Fake Wheels plummeted to 2.5. Fair to say the bloom is off the rose there.

Really like Bob non -anon's idea. Classic jocks and classic hits. Couldn't be worse than the right-wing drivel on the station now.

I noticed the 97.1 stream outperformed 1130 The Fan. Yikes!

The main reason why WWJ is doing so poorly IMO? ALL of their resources and coverage surrounds Trump and impeachment.
I think listeners are tired of the rhetoric.
It takes a long time to build an audience as large as WWJ has had and I think listeners stuck around for awhile thinking their coverage would change. It hasn’t. Now they are going elsewhere. It will take a lot to bring them back. And millenials don’t listen to the radio, particularly AM radio.
They need to get their act together over there.

I love it. That station is clueless and the ratings prove it.

So I was mistaken about WNIC. Their 14.8 is down from 17.9 last year, 15.8 in '17. (Thanks, RadioInsight.)

My theory about WWJ and especially WJR being so far down have been mentioned above. People are sick of hearing about Trump and the impeachment hearings. They don’t want wall to wall coverage.

WRIF is down a bit too. I don’t see many of their listeners flocking to Christmas stations.
