Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
1400 came back for me (at the end of Cowboy's call). Online still down for me. Jim Foor was a very good friend of Ron's, too.

Re: Ron Cameron
Well, both the caller Rob and Ron are wrong. Ted Williams wouldn't have hit 1000 HR's because that is simply unrealistic as is Ron's tendency. However, Ted basically missed 5 years to the military. He did not play at all in 1943-1945 because of World War II. However, what was not mentioned is Ted missed almost all of 1952 and 1953 for Korea and accumulated some nagging injuries from that stint in the miitary causing him to miss games later in his career as well. Considering the time missed from military service it realisitically cost Ted Williams the chance at 700 HR.Rm04111234 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 3:54 pmThat would be Rob, not Ken but thanks for the compliment.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron, he was the Tigers 4th pick, not the 4th pick in the draft. This is your era, so this shouldn't be so hard for you to understand.

Do you notice whenever there is a guest Cowboy asks his question and then says he will listen to the answer on the air.I think Cowboy is so star struck by these has been no names that he cannot carry a conversation with them.
