With the passing of Jerry Green, that means, respectfully, one less guest for Ron. Not gonna lie, Jerry took Ron’s calls quite often.
I’m sure Jerry just got off the phone with Ron before he passed.

Interesting about Harry Saferight: he was in the on deck circle three times in 1979, but never got to the box. He had a teammate who made a single appearance: as a pinch runner.

Gotta feel for a guy like that. Good enough to be a brief major leaguer, not good enough to actually play.

He’s no Ike Blessitt, who in his and Ron’s eyes should have been an All Star if not for Billy Martin.

Jerry Green was one of Ron’s best guests. I still have his Year of the Tiger book, his account of the ‘68 season. Jerry would occasionally push back on Ron’s nonsense, even cheering on a caller for challenging something ridiculous Ron had said. With news of his death, at 94, will Ron say, “What’s happening? We’re losing too many good people?”

Open line first hour. Lance Parrish next hour. Les Cain tomorrow. Ken Holland next Saturday. Something has to go amiss.

Did Ron just invite listeners to come to the studio to meet Lance Parrish?

Ron's (likely) on the move again. To yet another motel. I envision him being feted with a going-away party with every move.

You'd think Ron would lead with the Jerry Green news. But not Ron.

Ron had a chance to meet Tony Gwynn. But he didn't. Another near-miss.

Mark from Warren leading-off. The home of Ron's likely new motel (near the Universal Mall).

Hopefully Ron will let us know if Les Cain got workman's comp.

Doesn't look like Mark will bring up Jerry Green. Maybe Ron hasn't heard the news.

There are some seedy motels near 11 and Dequindre. Ron had better not leave his new briefcase in the car.

Maybe Lumen Pediatrics will bring up Jerry's passing.
