Re: Ron Cameron
Last night, Byron Buxton went from second to third on a pitch that got past Jake Rogers. Then Buxton scored on a ground ball when Rogers couldn't handle a throw to the home plate.

If Ron had seen that, his head would have exploded with cognitive dissonance, wondering who to root for.

Yes, if the plays had been close, Ron would have been torn in three directions, with the following result:Momo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:47 pmThere was always the umpiring crew.Bobbert wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 12:49 pmLast night, Byron Buxton went from second to third on a pitch that got past Jake Rogers. What a surprise! Thanks, Momo.
Re: Ron Cameron
Here is a picture that accompanies what I think was the only Detroit News acknowledgement of Ron's death. I'd never seen this picture before.

Re: Ron Cameron
You're right, Bobbert, this was its only acknowledgement of Ron's death. Odd that it would only come months later, in this context.Bobbert wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 1:21 pmHere is a picture that accompanies what I think was the only Detroit News acknowledgement of Ron's death. Obviously, the News must be leading the blackballing of Ron from the various Halls Of Fame.Momo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:24 amYou're right, Bobbert, this was its only acknowledgement of Ron's death.
