Bob Page on X claims that he was not asked to participate in the tribute show.
I haven’t seen that on his X page, unless I missed it.
It was on Martin's post while the show was live. Someone tagged Bob and asked if he would be calling in. Bob replied that he wasn't asked.

Here's a post where someone says:
I did contact Bob Page about calling into the show and he respectively declined. He said he would take up far too much time recounting Ron stories and that some of them would NOT be nice.

What would Ron think….

I think he may have given his seal of approval on who Ron would refer to as Evan “High school writer” Petzold on today’s article on JD Martinez coming back to the Tigers.

After debating his strengths for this Tiger team, he ultimately said with various reasons, money being one of them. A reunion with the Tigers is not happening.

I wonder if Joe LaPointe will write a eulogy for Ron in his Metro Times column?

It's a shame the Ron wasn't able to celebrate the absence of Combero—last year's DH—on this year's Tigers team.

It's really too bad that Ron didn't have the foresight to opt for cryogenics. If 20th Century Ron was a fish out of water in the early part of the 21st Century, just imagine how lost he would be in the 22nd - or beyond - century. At least he might have had the opportunity to hang with his hero Ted Williams.

I'm thinking of creating a new thread, The Unfrozen Sports Talk Show Host: Ron Cameron in the 22nd Century, & dedicate it to a certain poster from Ann Arbor.

I'm a former Detroit native now living elsewhere on the Lakes and I'm just now learning that Ron Cameron has passed. I read the article written by Jared Ramsay in the Freep. He made multiple factual errors in R.C. history. On radio, he was heard on WMZK-FM 98.7 from 1977-1978. It would not switch to AM 1400 until 1980 when WMZK and WJLB swapped frequencies. Cameron did a TV program called "Sports Talk" on Channel 20 which had the call letters WXON-TV, it would not become WMYD until about 2006, IIRC, prior to that it was WDWB from 1997. When 1270-AM transitioned to an all-talk format in 1979, it was still co-owned by ABC with WXYZ-TV, and to correct another factual error R.C. as far as I recall, NEVER worked for Channel 7. Having moved away from S.E. Lower Michigan prior to WADL going on air, I cannot say that Cameron ever worked there, but one thing I do know is that WADL is and always has been on Channel 38, which is its virtual channel and is on digital Channel 27, it has NEVER BEEN on Channel 20. I hope this clarifies the story a bit better.

It seem like Ron Cameron and factual errors go hand in hand.

So sad to hear the news Flaco the Owl died crashing into Trump Towers.

Ron did a show on WADL with Denny. It's still on YouTube.

Speaking of Denny, without Ron, & no longer having the podcast with Eli & Bob, does he have any remaining outlet to be heard? If not, maybe he should consider the opening at WPON.
