"Crying in the Chapel." I'll so miss the entire Ron experience.
Our fearless leader missing in action? Oh the humanity.............

Rob, sadly, it's worse than he's "missing." :(

I might catch a '70s game show - or was it from the "50s?! - on BuzzR TV in Ron's memory.

All these songs remind me of SportsTalk, seriously. All the days Ron would be late, last minute no-show, weather related, car issues…and of course, road construction and people who don’t wanna work.

He mentioned that he was looking at a March 1 tribute show. So next Friday.

I don't see Ron, a Patti Page fan, was much into Janis Joplin's music.

In my fascination with Ron, I tried to hold back from making fun/mocking him as to me there was an underlying element of pathos with his behavior. To have continued in his line of work given the circumstances belied a need greater than financial. Given the trying nature of his formative years, I suspected an eternal need for validation regarding self-esteem.
One of the best comments I've ever read about Ron.

I think he pushed himself in his later years to keep going by continually talking about everything that he'd ever done. When I talked with him two weeks ago, I happened to mention Tim McCormick, and he quickly replied, "I saved his career!" in a way that seemed almost involuntary.

He always said he would never retire.I guess he was right. RIP Ron
When I talked with him two weeks ago, he asked me what I did for a living. I told him, then mentioned that I was about to retire. He laughed and said, "I'm never going to retire!" So hopefully he was happy in the saddle until the very end.

As crazy as some of his comments were, I was always amazed from his background growing up he was able to carve out the career he did. I was always amazed and how he still had “numbers” for some of the sports personalities he could call
