Missing his “last” show is a source of frustration.
Maybe the show will air at 11. If so, we can learn who was the last caller to speak to Ron.

Caller #7: ??? (I got a call, so I missed this caller's name.)
Whoever the last caller to speak to Ron is shall carry that omen from this point forward. Who is the lucky one to carry that grim reaper fortune on in place of Ron??

Glad I got to see him in person one more time before he died. That was two weeks ago today at the Ram's Horn in Southfield.

He seemed weak, and was very unhappy with his recovery from his knee surgery. I guess it's fair to say that putting things off probably caught up with him. But it's amazing that he lived to 79.

He was one of a kind, and a very unique personality in the history of Detroit sports media.

We made fun of him, but only because we knew he had dished it out himself to many people, and could take it.

It's fair to say that no one in Detroit sports media ever worked harder than Ron.

R.I.P.

That was Art from Waterford. It was said very quickly and not clearly. He is the one with this grim reaper fortune.

"Crying in the Chapel." I'll so miss the entire Ron experience.

I'll be leaving it on all afternoon. It is kind of surreal to continue to hear Ron plugging his own show. Crying In The Chapel.
