This whole thread could write Ron’s biography, and deserves a section all by itself

I missed Ron's shows this weekend. Was there any mention of his always impending knee surgery?

I'll leave this right here as a testament to Al Avila's prowess:

Maybe others could chime in for confirmation, as I steeped away at times from listening. But I don’t think so

He said the surgery will be in two months. We'll see.

This thread probably gets much closer to the truth about Ron than any biography that he might write.

Two months? He's going to miss the gutsiest part of Harbaugh's schedule.

I have a feeling that the only folks that know who this dude is are on this thread. I don't get it.

Once you experience all that is Ron Cameron, a Norma Desmond come to life, there's really no turning back.

I'm breaking my will (and Matt's will) by posting in this thread.

Here is all you need to know about Ron Cameron. 2 minute interview and Ron talks about himself for 1:30 of it.

A couple of things to note about this spot. One, Ron's always trying to bask in the reflected glory of others. In this case, it's WCAR's then-association with "NBC Sports radio." At WDTK, it was that station's national heavy hitters. Likewise, he's always inflating the achievements of guests, past & present, e.g., Al Avila, Two, Ron's relationship with his boxer, Lane ("The Pain") Staal, whom he first met when he employed his as a short-order cook, and who was once also a frequent show guest, ended with much rancor. Maybe Mr. Positive can ask after him.

What’s the frequency,Ronald?

In plugging his show on WPON, he got the frequency wrong: “AM 1160, WPON”

I guess when you’ve broadcast through as many soup cans as he has, it is hard to keep track of it all.

In fairness, during the multi year period 1460 WPON's over the air signal was out of commission, there was an extended period where 1460's normal programming slid over to 1160.

OK, he gets a pass on this one.
