Re: Ron Cameron
Ever notice how bothered Ron gets when Mr police brings up the buzzboard. Not sure why he has all the hate, just look at the traffic we give him and how dedicated we are tuning in each week to his show
Re: Ron Cameron
It’s either because Ron, in his ignorance, somehow thinks we’re “competition,” like the radio shows/personalities Mr. Positive mentions before Ron calls him out, or, like his refusal to identify his contributing producer, the narcissistic Ron is not one to cede center stage to anyone else, certainly not anyone who’s not “greasing his palm.”radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 8:30 pmEver notice how bothered Ron gets when Mr police brings up the buzzboard. Re: Ron Cameron
I don't think Ron goes on the internet.I wonder if he has someone read posts from the buzzboard about him?
Re: Ron Cameron
Mark: please use Bobbert's Wikipedia page as a launching pad to interview Ron. Think of it as a very special, This Is Your Life, edition, of Sports Talk. Ron would like nothing more than to talk endlessly about himself.Bobbert wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 4:54 pmWith Mark Wilson appearing next week, here is some material for Mark's Buzzboard spy (whose name is probably spelled M-a-r-k W-i-l-s-o-n)

Re: Ron Cameron
I actually sent an e-mail to “Ron”, asking what the deal was with the incorrect podcasts recently, radio silence on a reply. A few years ago, when this same problem was occurring, I e-mailed “Ron” and got a response that thanked me for listening, asked me to feel free to call the show during the regular broadcasts, and corrected the podcast issues. Obviously, I knew it was probably Alex (or another producer) that was handling this communication, but seems like today, nobody is bothering, certainly not Ron or “Ron”! I don’t blame current producers/employees, because I’m sure judging from what I hear of recent on-air treatment of them by R-Sizzle, they won’t/don’t give a f&@k!
Re: Ron Cameron
Sometimes it feels like Ron is just cracking under the pressure of the multi-media empire for which he's responsible.
Re: Ron Cameron
Gotta give credit where credit is due: Sunday’s podcast is up and it’s actually SportsTalk, including the “Danger Zone” intro music! Get to hear the replay of these epic phone issues!
Re: Ron Cameron
Glad the podcast is up. It looks like Martin was called into, the office and read the riot act.Hopefully he can keep his head screwed on right but don't hold your breath.
Re: Ron Cameron
I was listening to the Ron Cameron Replay. Denny McLain was telling Ron a disgusting story about Fred Gladding "pooping in his pants," then Ron segued into a commercial about the Ram's Horn restaurant in Southfield.
Re: Ron Cameron
Thanks for the suggestion. But it might cut into one of Mark's monologues where he shows off how much sports history he has memorized.Momo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 9:20 amMark: please use Bobbert's Wikipedia page as a launching pad to interview Ron. Re: Ron Cameron
I feel sorry for Mark Wilson. Nobody will hire him and he is having trouble accepting it.Maybe heand Ron will go into, the restaurant business together.

Re: Ron Cameron
Mark was never someone who I felt like oh I have to listen to this guy. I'd rather listen to Rich and or Alex with Ron for the whole evening than Mark. Just my opinion as everyone has one.
BTW- I heard Mr. P on a national sports show last night on 97.1, you make your rounds on the circuit Mr. P.

Re: Ron Cameron
Mr Positive is the best thing going on radio. It is just a matter of time before some smart program director gives him his own show.
Re: Ron Cameron
I get my sports talk radio fix entirely from the OG, so I don’t listen elsewhere. But I understand Cowboy can - or, at least, used be - heard "up & down the dial." Has anyone heard JJ from Trenton lately? He called the first couple of weeks upon Ron’s return to WDTK, but has been MIA ever since. I hope he's ok (along, of course, with Phil Regan).Mr.Transistor wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 1:56 pmBTW- I heard Mr. P on a national sports show last night on 97.1, you make your rounds on the circuit Mr. P.
