I should buy time after Ron’s show for a producer’s forum for all of Ron’s producers & sidekicks. When I used to call, I once expressed exasperation to the screener. The beleaguered screener, his voice thick with weary, could only say, “Try working for him.”

Ron doesn't watch anything but the Tigers. He keeps on saying the NHL isn't in a bubble and his basketball talk is just highlights he saw on ESPN.

He asked Ron if he even watches the NBA games or just highlights of ESPN and then referenced my "juicy and tender" quote from Ron about his pizza review. Ron is too oblivious to realize people are making fun of him and said "I said the same thing"

It certainly helps his disposition to not have Martin there, or, if he was present, in a muzzled state.

I wasn’t able to hear all of yesterday’s show, but I don’t recall any mention of an upcoming guest. Last week, he raised the possibility of Paul Woods - who “loves coming on the show” - this weekend, but heard nothing about that, or anyone else, yesterday.

I’m going to try to be a little more sensitive to Ron this particular time of the year, what with the impending anniversary of the death of his BFF, Cory Lidle, on 9/11. Speaking of which, a friend living in Toledo at the time told me of a local newscaster who noted that this date was the “day that 9/11 happened.”

He didn't mention Paul Woods yesterday but in his typical fashion said he would try to get someone if he can find some time from his busy schedule. I still can't figure out what he does all day.

Lidle died on 10/11/06. Ironically, his last baseball appearance was against the Tigers on 10/7/06, when his poor pitching performance for the Yankees helped the Tigers get to the League Championship Series.
