Court TV is coming to WXYZ 7.4 in May

Post by MWmetalhead » Sun Apr 28, 2019 8:34 am

Not sure of the exact date - but WXYZ will be adding an extra subchannel next month in order to bring Court TV to Metro Detroit viewers.

No word yet if any area cable systems will be picking up the network.

Interesting, my set hasn't yet recognized WXYZ-DT4, but somehow it added WEWS-DT4, which will be the Court TV station for the Cleveland market. Last I checked that, it was just a black screen.

My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!

Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)

I also saw the WEWS 5.4 blank channel which says Court tv last week in tropo.

I thought WMYD was going to add it not WXYZ.

That's what I also thought.

Anyways WXYZ-DT4 has been added as of this morning. Does not produce a signal yet though.

UPDATE: And WXYZ-DT4 disappeared entirely around 12:30 PM.

Same thing is going on with Lansing's WSYM 47.4.

It's WSYM 47.5 from Court TV's website. Will be on WXMI Fox17 in Nov 17.3 which is This TV until Nov.

Thanks for correcting me on 47.4. I had forgot its existence since I don't watch it. 47.5 was stunting over the weekend and mentioned today is when Court TV arrives.

So will we be seeing live police shows like "Cops" or mostly scripted judge shows?

It's supposed to be like the old Court TV, which would feature live court cases and analysis:

Maybe just lock the doors and hand the keys over to Tara Edwards? WXYZ appears to be done.
