Interference @ 103.1 MHz in northern Oakland County
Re: Interference @ 103.1 MHz in northern Oakland County
Listened again to WDTW 1310 translator on 107.9. I can hear audio distortion which may be attributable to overmodulation. But does it sound LOUD. If thats all you care about is loud. I could barely tell there was allowed cochannel interference from WCRZ. There were so many sidebands they covered up the sizzle.
Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

It just seems strange that here in Shelby Township, I able to receive the WUFL 94.1 translator as good as 93.9 “The River” and even better than the 94.3 translator, What’s Up with that?

Well, today W300DI sounds undistorted, but the signal still seems too strong for 85 watts maximum in any direction.
Couldn't the FCC have anticipated what would happen with these translators, like the Class D AMs with 50 kW Day and 20 watts nondirectional Nights? Are they still too busy busting CBers with linears?
Give them their own 2 MHz and 1 kW/100 meter HAAT stations and let them create their own licensed FM "CB" band. That way they are only hurting themselves. Suddenly they would be regulating themselves.
