Just wondering, I heard 5 different amounts, Fox 2 says 3 inches, Local 4 says 4- 8 inches, WXYZ 7 says 5-9 inches, WWJ 950 says 4- 6 and WJR says(Now they get their weather from Channel 4) 3-5 inches, Now if WJR gets their info from WDIV why the difference in the amount of snow. I’m so 🤷‍♂️ confused.

The higher end forecasts from 7 and NWS are on pace to be complete duds for the heart of the metro.

LOTS of mid level dry air overhead.

This is looking more and more like a 4 inch event or less for much of Metro Detroit. Some areas might only see a couple inches.

Heavier totals from a Saginaw to Flint to Chelsea line westward.

US-131 corridor is getting nailed. Moisture isn't over spreading the state like models were predicting. Even some mid-Michigan totals look to be underachieving. Don't get me wrong - still bad in many of those areas.

Metro Detroit will probably see three to five hours of moderate to heavy snow from this system.
