ALT 106.7

Post by Steve79 » Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:21 am

How much longer before they pull the plug on this format?
Station is doing horribly in the ratings and isn't getting much better. Other formats they've tried did much better including "the D" 2.0 which they didn't even give a chance.

Just curious to see how long they'll stick with it.

Then who else will promote Panic at the Disco like they're the second coming of Christ?

106.7 is sounding better than The “Fart 98.7.”

Not sure where you've been, but High Hopes has become their biggest hit ever.

I no longer really listen to top 40 radio due to the current state of music, so I am a little behind when it comes to how well some of the most recent songs out there are charting

Well, it has been at No1 on Alternative Radio for weeks now too. HOT AC too.

I would like to see them evolve into something like xm's lithium channel 34 honestly.

I know ALT 106.7 ratings suck, and some people think dead air would get a higher market share, but I still find myself listening to this station when I want to hear music. I know it could be much better and I hope they tweak the format a bit more, I wouldn't call it my favorite station by a longshot, just one of my very few options.

Whenever I'm browsing the dial and land on it, there is never a song on I can actually say I like.

I never have actually sat and listened though for more than 2 minutes.
I'll give it a shot one of these days.

I know it is sad, but Detroit market has so few stations I can enjoy.
I am really not a big fan of Top 40 music, new or old.
Never been a fan of AC, Soft Rock, Disco, R&B, Urban, or Hip Hop.
Country and Christian is right out
I like classic rock well enough, but always been a bit more blues rock, prog rock, funk rock, and punk. Much of which is played rarely on classic rock stations.
My tastes have always been more New Wave, Synth pop, Industrial, Techno, House, and Ambient.

From this boards talk I had the wife try the Breeze and she loves it, it is her new favorite station. I will tolerate it when in the car with her, but if I am driving myself I am not going to listen to a station I just tolerate. I really want just one station I can turn to when I want to hear music and be moderately satisfied with. A station I would actually consider putting a bumpersticker on the car to promote, if that was still a thing.

Hopefully not to long, I would love to see them take their HD3 station and put it on the main signal and call it Oldies 106.7, and then I would apply for the morning show, that would be worth getting out of retirement for, Detroit needs a good Oldies Station, it just hasn’t been the same without Oldies 104.3.
