Post by Bobbert » Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:49 am

(I know there's a 98.7 thread going, but in a lot of different and interesting directions...trying for something more focused here)

Atlantic Starr - Always
Regina Belle - Baby Come to Me, If I Could
Anita Baker - Giving You the Best that I've Got
Fleetwood Mac - Hold Me
Natalie Merchant - Kind and Generous, Life is Sweet
Paula Cole - I Don't Want to Wait, Where Have All the Cowboys Gone
Alice Cooper - Only Women Bleed
Sophie B. Hawkins - As I Lay Me Down
James Taylor - Fire and Rain, Handy Man
George Harrison - Blow Away
Carole King - Whole Tapestry album except for Smackwater Jack
Carly Simon - Coming Round Again
Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill

I’ve heard Always by Atlantic Starr several times. I’ve also heard Sacrifice by Elton John and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard Sad Songs too.

Those songs are not the correct format.

Those are Classic Rock, not Adult Contemporary.

When is the last time any station has played THESE:
-Ambrosia: How much I Feel
-Diana Ross: Missing You
-Stephen Bishop:On And On
-Paul davis: Cool Night
-Poco: Crazy Love
-Herb Alpert: Route 101 (are instrumentals included)
-Christine McVie: Got A Hold On me
-Sheena Easton: almost Over You

These were all staples of easy listening/soft rock in its heyday. I love all of them. Now all are forgotten except to the few of us who cant let go of the past.
