No More Windsor BBM ratings

Post by windsor » Fri Nov 16, 2018 5:08 pm

Does anyone here on the Windsor side know anything about this??

Looks like Windsor and Kingston radio wont be measured because of lack of volunteers to write down in the Diaries what they listen to on am/fm.

Both cities coincidently if they are listening to radio are listening to american stations.Windsor with Detroit radio and Kingston with Watertown NY radio.

Spring 2018 diary ratings cancelled in 10 medium size markets across Canada because of difficulty to find participants to fill out the Numeris ballots
The Diary service is of significant importance to Members and a priority for Numeris. Similar to many research organizations, achieving targeted sample levels has become more of a challenge. It is becoming increasingly difficult to reach participants due to decreasing contact and cooperation. At the same time, populations are changing and shrinking, and household sizes are decreasing, further impacting sample usage and strain. These challenges can result in low sample returns in some markets, which can have an impact on the precision, or reliability, of audience estimates.

As an immediate response to reduce the strain on the available sample and preserve sample for the Fall 2018 Survey, Numeris did not measure the following Radio Central Markets (CTRL) during the Spring 2018 Radio Diary survey which ran from February 26th to April 22nd, 2018:

Saint John in Atlantic Canada, Kingston and Windsor in Ontario, Regina, Saskatoon, Lethbridge and Red Deer in the Prairies, Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George in British Columbia.

There you go the Windsor Stations are so bad no one in Windsor wants to even write down what they are tuned to in a BBM diary. I love it.

RadioKev,since the Big Eight's demise, save for 580 a.m.,I've largely ignored the Canadian stations? Happy birthday,Canadian lads Gordon Lightfoot and Lorne Michaels, who are 80 and 74 today, respectively!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong Windsor had good radio back in the day but today it’s a sad situation and all of a sudden why so many in that market they cannot make money.
