I hadn't listened in a while. On Sat 4-25 1160 is putting a suburban-quality signal into Lakeport. From the Wixom xmtr site? The legal ID is still "WCXI Fenton."

The TX site move did not require a COL change.

If only they had done a full DA Proof Of Performance, instead of newfangled methods, they might be able to at least fill the nulls off the back of the array, if not increase power.

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

Same (x, y, z), different (t)

Well, it did, twice, after losing their sites.

EDIT: I've noticed that yesterday and today, the 1460 signal is much, much weaker than had been the last few weeks, like maybe .2mV/m at Lyndon & Schaefer, when it had been about 1.0mV/m for a few weeks (my guesses - I don't have an FSM).

The 1160 signal is better than I expected it would be, good in Detroit's Downriver suburbs.

For better or for worse, the FCC granted the license renewals for both WPON and WCXI on 9/15. Full term too--expiring on 10/1/2028.

Cheers! ~~ Statmanmi

I don't know how anyone can listen to WCXI, the audio on the network programming is substandard.
