Based on that quote, am I to assume that the an ex-Arena Football QB from Grand Rapids was dragged out of the court room because of an outburst?

Oh the humanity...

There sure isn't as much excitement, fawning, or adulation over our first orange president as there was over our first black one. Evidently, orange really isn't the new black.

Thank you, WDIV.... They had the score on the Chyron. Glad you're checking in on us, here at the Buzz...

Once again... No Tigers score or highlights in the 6 AM Hour.

The only thing more "Streaky" than the Tigers is 4s reporting on it.

Aug. 1, Fox2's Robin Murdoch reported on a fatal accident in NW Detroit. Repeatedly referred to Grand River as Grand Boulevard. Big street sign right over your head there, Robin. Miles away from The Boulevard.

WDIV was on the ball, this morning, in the 6. They had a story about something in Lincoln Park. The banner said Linclon Park. They took it down and corrected it, within seconds, during that story. Of course, it would've been better not to have made the mistake at all, but this shows that they're paying attention.

Apparently WDIV didn't know they were playing a Baseball game in Chicago this evening. Unless I had been lulled asleep, heard no mention of the World Series game or a score (Indians won, boo) on Jamie's, you know, sports segment.

Somethings are so simple to me in local newscasts I cannot begin WXYZ doesn't do it. WDIV does it. Cannot speak to Fox2 because I don't watch. 4 has two sportscasters and 7 four.
Without question Detroit is a sports town with a bunch of teams. Daily web Freep and News have item after item on sports. Why not add a sports report on 7's morning show? They have three sportscasters (I don't include Rob Parker). What do these people do during the week?
My opinion is WXYZ has the stronger news team. Remembering news is still entertainment and it's a visual media. The women on 7 dresses very well as do those in top 5 markets. I assume the new News Director would pick-up on this and other tune ups.

I agree, Lou...Except 4 does not have a sports reporter in their AM cast.

This doesn't have anything to do with local news but it's still very funny. On Quiz Central one of the questions was "who had the slogan I Like Ike?" One kid answered Ike Turner.

Funny. The other answer being "Reverend Ike".

WDIV sending Walker to NY was interesting. I'm sure that they thought HRC was a shoe in and Rhonda would be part of the "history making" festivities....
Instead, it rained on their liberal parade.

This morning in the 9 or 10, WJR went to one of Steve Courtneys pre recorded sports reports. Ya gotta delete those old audio files, guys. Game 7 of the World Series has been played and we all know who won.
