Or maybe not. Someone’s paying for his room at the Waldorf Astoria.

She’ll be there. You always want to tug at the heartstrings with a tale of overcoming hardships. And Ron will delay his part of the ceremony as long as he can, waiting in vain for Glen Sather to arrive. Let’s just hope it’s not Matt reading the inscription on Ron’s HOF plaque.

He'll have Jerry Green and Bob Miller induct him in, as the most prominent 90+ year old guests. Dentures will be handed out to the crowd to help with dinner service. Can't wait!

Yeah, let's fill the house with all the people Ron has so lustily hated over the years. It'll be standing room only and I'm sure Ron will be appropriately received.

Maybe during Ron's acceptance speech, he can run through some of the tigers minor league stats...and if there's time, he could tell us again when he was the umpire for the reds and tigers exhibition game.. WHAT A NIGHT IT'S GOING TO BE...

And Ron will surely emphasize in his induction speech how he was Ernie Harwell's best friend at the end of Ernie's life, was one of the few people Gordie Howe recognized deep into his dementia, was the last person to talk to a live Red Wings Jack Adams, and the first to see the dead Tigers manager in 1966. And of course his special relationship with Glen Sather, who won't do other HOF inductions, only Ron's because of the special place in his heart he has for Ron. Ron will finally put all his doubters to shame when he introduces in the audience his loyal insurance company callers, each making their first appearance - anywhere - and desperate for answers to hard-hitting questions - on hold since the end of Ron's Friday show - like how will the Tigers/Lions/Pistons/Red Wings will do in their upcoming seasons.

But Ron would still trade Rogers straight-up for Justin Verlander. When he vehemently reaffirmed this crazed argument to Mark Wilson, Ron doubled-down, saying that Rogers would still be playing “years after” Verlander retired. Mark, derisively laughing at Ron, noted that the great age disparity made that point ridiculous.

Who is Ron touting as his guest this weekend? He should do a FB live like the kids do after Ron's on Saturday night. It would be very interesting to see what really goes on during that broadcast.

The only announced scheduled future guest was Vince Ellis, but that's not for another couple of weeks. But two weeks ago, Glen Sather was going to be his guest in "two weeks." Although there was not a mention of that last weekend, maybe Ron will pull a rabbit out of his hat and actually produce Sather this weekend. If Ron cannot actually get a guest, he'll cover himself by saying 'no guest tonight because there's just too much to talk about.' And then proceed to go to the scoreboard and a review of the stats of Tigers minor league prospects (including a soon-to-be 29-year old Mikie Mahtook!). But we'd have to wait to the 2nd hour tomorrow to get play-by-play of the game against the Twins, since that doesn't start until 6:10.

4 hours of open line with probably just Matt all weekend? Oh no that'll be brutal.

I like how if he has another caller waiting, he'll rush the current caller and tell him that the lines are jammed and he needs to move on. Only to realize he doesn't get any calls for the next 20 minutes haha.

What's the deal with Matt? Is he employed by the radio station? I wonder if he's aware of this thread.
