Actually went into the one on Northwestern Hwy about 6 years ago and met Alex. He ran that location for Ron out of college. It was open about 6 months. Not an awful place, food was good. But Ron can't run them to save his life.

I'd love to know who would be dumb enough to go into a venture with him without checking his past failures

Today’s the day of Ron’s scheduled meeting. Oh, to be a fly on the wall among these titans of industry.

It'll be open in "a month" with pizza delivery and a sports theme throughout. Can't wait!

When you say "sports themed" will it only be sports from the 50s and 60s? Seems like Ron's favorite eras..lol..you know when he was a front desk manager at some hotel..lol...

Thanks for the insider information, 313sports. Can you also glean from your contacts when we can expect relief in the form of an appearance from Alex?

If this eatery truly opens within a month, I'll actually commit to doing business there (is it in Commerce Twp, one of the locations Ron most recently mentioned?) … and hope to get there before it inevitably closes posthaste. But can someone explain the business plan of either having a restaurant or, more to the point, constantly promoting (a decision on) an upcoming restaurant, while accepting advertisements from multiple competing dining establishments?

Hopefully Terry Foster is his partner on this... both seem to have the magic touch with restaurants.

No inside info I was just mocking him as every time he is ready to open and it's always claimed to be ready to open in a month, but never happens. Always talks about pizza delivery and it's basically the same game as other failed locations. Pure foolishness.

As legendary as the legend-in-his-own-mind Ron Cameron, who’s actually used his airwaves to promote his candidacy for the Michigan Hall of Fame. Now that’s an acceptance speech I’d pay to see!

Talk about waiting too long to hang it up..Ron should have left the air before WDFN. I can only hear the same stories 10 times and the same takes based on appearances on the show. From whispering to has-been rants, it's quite the candidacy for the HOF...

It’s pretty clear now that Cowboy has left us. He set the Ironman record - what was it, a million postings here?! - and now he’s resting on his laurels. The only way to experience him now is on the radio.

I thinks it’s the free meal that most drives his interest in being inducted in the HOF. He must get very tired at eating all the time only at his sponsor restaurants. I suspect that’s their sole form of payment to him.
