Ron’s alright ... except for his bullying behavior, habitual lying, pettiness, meanness, extreme narcissism, dimwittedness, failure to take personal responsibility, and the various cons he perpetrates on his handful of listeners. “Aside from that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?”

I'm waiting for him to suck up to Al Avila tomorrow.

That’s a sure thing, 313sports. At this point, the best thing about the Verlander trade is that, but for the deal, we in all likelihood would never have gotten Casey Mize in the draft. As you will recall, we tied in the standings with the Giants for the worst record in ‘17, but won the tiebreaker. With JV that last month of the season, it’s a good bet we would have won at least one more game, giving San Francisco Mize, the consensus top pick. So good on Avila for making that trade!

Another one of Ron’s cons - on his (would-be) sponsors and/or his audience - is all the future guests he claims to have lined up. For literally over a year, he promoted Bob Delaney, a former NBA referee who wrote a book about “putting away the mob.” He never materialized. And I’m still waiting on Jim Palmer’s promised appearance. And so many others who you just know when he mentions them that Ron is talking out of his ass.

I always wondered if Ron actually knows Jim Palmer,or if Palmer met Ron once and was turned off by Ron's sometimes crude behavior.

Claims he met him at an Orioles Tigers game when they were in town. Apparently he does color commentating for them. The guests that don't come on are never booked concrete, but a verbal yes and giving Ron their number (that he'll loose) gives him the green light to promote them as a future guest. They "never pick up" so in Ron's mind, he moves on and holds that grudge.

Today's show was awful. Start to finish. Ron needs to hang it up.

313sports, are you telling me that you didn’t enjoy Ron asking Bob Miller the SAME questions he asks him - and all MLB guests who played in the ‘50s & ‘60s - EVERY time he is - or they are - on?! Questions about highest salaries & meal money. Of course, we always get some discussion about the horrors of pitch counts, how someone is lying about his age, & how the game is just not the same (and so much worse). And the recycled interviews are always promoted as being “very interesting.”

That was the best part of the hour! Bob could barely hear him. The beginning was horrible and Ron was screaming about a headset being turned on so Alex awkwardly opened the show. Alex and Matt both there made it hard for Ron to focus I bet. Then better yet, he told Matt numerous times and once clearly over the air "enough" to have him be quiet. Worst I've heard in awhile.

As long as he's reading the scoreboard, maybe Ron can also read the funnies.

Typical Ron. He has a good guest on in Terry Foster & he talks all about himself.

Very typical. Terry makes the show tolerable. Less of Ron more of anyone else.

The caller directed his question to Terry - noting he, the caller, & Ron disagreed on Avila. Ron immediately jumped in, Terry said nothing.

I wonder how Terry and Rob Parker get along, since Robbie slagged Robert Griffin III for his white wives and Foster has a white wife ?

Unless Terry's has a new wife, Cowboy, I don't believe his longtime wife and mother of his children is white. I think you may be confusing him with someone else who used to write for one of the Detroit newspapers.
