Ron Cameron In One Word:
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Can there be much doubt that Alex views Ron with thinly-disguised contempt?
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Based on the exchange they just had I'm not sure it's thinly-disguised. He doesn't back down from Ron and shows obvious disdain with some of his takes.
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
313sports, I meant to say Alex's contempt for Ron was NOT so thinly-disguised. Ron's quick to cite listings of top prospects when they supports his argument, i.e., 'Perez is the 3rd best Tigers prospect,' but pretty dismissive of them when - in the case of Jake Rogers - they do not.
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Yeah the prospect lists don't matter when it goes against his narrative but when they support it then they matter. How can someone be a sure fire all star when they never have played a major league game and be the best defensive catcher in all of baseball? Is it just me or is that farfetched? Alex just defended the caller and spoke his piece that's all.

Announced guest former Pistons Coach Richie Adubato bailed yesterday . Cameron was livid ,as he'd spoken to Adubato Saturday to remind Adubato he was scheduled to appear on Ron's show.Perhaps the geezers-Adubato is 81-are no longer interested in being Ron's human props.

Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Alex was much more biting towards Ron this weekend. Perhaps Alex is fed up with Ron's antics .
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Apart from the "callers" from the insurance company - a H***, ever-changing cast of characters who existed only between the hours of 9-11 Friday mornings, I'm not entirely persuaded that all of Ron's emailers on his (not-Fox affiliated) Patriot shows Saturday and Sunday are any more real. On his last weekend "producing" the show, the beleaguered Matt read an email that didn't include the listener's city of residence. Ron, of course, attacked Matt for this transgression. But who puts their city in their email?! With Ron's history, it does make me wonder about the existence of many other emailers who are never heard from but ARE identified with their supposed cities.
Ted Kulfan, if you ever get around to writing Ron's long-anticipated biography, the one he, naturally, predicts to be a "best-seller," I surely hope you'll have an opportunity to review this prodigious thread!

Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
The emails that are consistent from the same people seem real. The random ones that you don't always hear might be made up. Probably forced by Ron. Instead of a producer showing their intelligence and creating a topic, the email does it so makes sense. No one can steal Ron's thunder and start a topic that he isint comfortable with.

Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
The emails are real. How do I know you ask? Because I am one of them from time to time when I am unable to be attached to the phone to talk to Ron. I have always attached my city. Fredi the pizzzaman is an emailer from time to time. I tuned out the 2nd hour figuring it would be Ron reliving his glory days with the guest, too bad I didn't stick around as it is always funny how Ron gets stiffed. I always wonder how many times it is due to poor planning/communication on Ron's part that these guests are no shows. Also it wouldn't surprise me if Ron makes up that he has a guest to get people to tune in. I agree with Cowboy that I got a real sense that Alex was fed up with a few of Ron's takes. It's also funny that Fredi the Pizzaman does not advertise on his show but sure gets a whole lot of free publicity from Ron so why advertise and why bring in the free pizza when you have that going. I have even stopped into Fredi's place and we have shared a couple laughs at Ron's expense. I should have bet a thousand bucks that Ron did not like Stevie's first pick since Ron's a Holland guy.

When does this insipid, over-done tired bit of a post finally disappear...???

Maybe I'm missing something, lidoshuffle, but I don't think anyone's forcing you to read the contents of this thread. Just avert your glance and move on, bro.

Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Honestly though, will Ron ever give it up on his own? I don't think his ego will let him.
Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:
Ron’s financial situation may be the bigger factor in his continuing to work.
