Mr. Transistor (how the freak old are you, anyway ? TRANSISTOR????? People had transistors in the sixties ), to quote the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr. (who'd have been 90 Tuesday,Jan. 15) ,I judge people on the content of their character, not their colour, race, creed, sexual orientation, sex, etc. (With a couple of exceptions,my buddies are white men .)
Too bad the same can't be said for your perhaps treasonous white nationalist/supremacist President, racist, religious crackpot Vice President, and far too many people OF ALL PERSUASIONS on both sides of the border. Calling out racism is NOT THE SAME AS RACISM,though it's unlikely most of you folk can or want to realize false equivalencies such as the above one. And,since I'm a Ron Cameron show listener,Ron and Cowboy don't always agree, but they respect each other.

O.K. Mr. T.,but why don't YOU call and,if nothing else, wish Ron a Happy Birthday Saturday and a complete recovery from his recent brain operation ?

I only listen to Ron on PodBean so it’s always old news, but what is brutal is listening to him give “scores” and “live play-by-play” of games going on while he’s on the air! Not sure if Ron realizes that people have smartphones for that now!

In the latest sports podcast with Eli, Denny and Bob Page- Bob Page does not have a bad word to say about Ron Cameron. He even sticks up for Ron telling Eli that him and Ronny paved the way for the Eli and Denny TV show which I really don't remember the Eli and Denny tv show. It's a shame that Ron is so grouchy and talks trash all the time about his former co host and friend.

Kinda shows you how bizarre, bitter and out-of-touch Ron is.

Cameron claims Page disrespected him a couple of years ago when Cameron told Page that he,Cameron, had a cancer scare. Don't know the veracity of this, but if Page has nothing negative to say about his ex-bud,maybe Ron is,as my dearly-departed dad was wont to say, handling the truth a bit carelessly .

I'll tell you what that show certainly misses Alex. That Matt is totally clueless I don't know if he is doing the show for a school project or something, he will not keep Ron on Track, misses opportunities to remind Ron of the questions that the callers/emailers have asked, he's like a robot. As far as the callers, JJ from Lincoln Park is good, Kurt from Fraser good, Cowboy from Windsor is a complete buffoon. Usually at least once every couple weeks you can count on Cowboy to bring race up into his discussion or a combination of politics and race as well. His takes on death dates are completely ridiculous. I think Ron finds Cowboy like a clown as well but when you don't have many people calling into the show you have to entertain yourself somehow.
I think Matt is intimidated and rattled by Ron's outbursts. It took Alex a little while to get used to them but now he doesn't back down at all from Ron.

The regular callers are interesting, including their weaknesses. JJ freaks out at any bad comments on UM sports, Kurt has a very small attention span which causes him to be a bad listener, Cowboy has the compulsive need to mention anniversaries (but to be fair, Ron often uses them as a springboard for an interesting monologue).

Then there's that guy from New York whose only way to know a team's upcoming games is to call Ron Cameron.

When Page and Ron worked together, I always enjoyed Ron's rant about working while Page was "drinking like a fish" at Michigan State.

Cameron's latest schtick is to rant about Page's "teenybopper" wife, whom I guess is younger than Page's daughters by his first wife.Since the schlubby old Cameron likely has never had a significant other,he's showing more "Green Monster" than Fenway Park towards the handsome (even in his mid-seventies ) Page.

JJ,frankly,is something of a fuss-bucket and likely not the most racially aware person around.

This coming from the guy that speaks of himself in the third person, doesn't have a real job except to call sports shows while he memorizes the dates of deaths of sports athletes/celebrities, lets his racial bias/ignorance show, and who Alex refers to as the "grim reaper" who is a "pain in the ass". Alex " well we need to kill some airtime, I can't let Ron blabber away or we'll all fall asleep" taking Cowboy's ridiculous phone calls.

Anyways, too bad Ron can't carry himself in a more dignified manner when talking about his former co-host and friend, Bob Page. I know his listeners would like to hear the two gentleman on for a few shows. Oh well, that ego of Mr. Cameron will not let it happen.

Mr. Transistor,I'm 65,and most folk my age aren't (or shouldn't be) labouring.Second, you should google the word "projection" as you are the poster boy for that psychological condition when it comes to racial ignorance. Third,I've never heard Alex refer to Cowboy in the manner you described, and perhaps you might learn something from Cowboy (and other minorities) about today's ultra-divisive political and social scene.
As for Ron,well,I met him in '84 when he came here to Windsor for a remote, and save for being 35 years younger,he was as grumpy as he is today.
